La «vecería» es un fenómeno que hace que unos años haya mucha cosecha y otros menos, alternativamente. Como dice el
refrán: «Fortuna y aceituna, a veces mucha y a veces ninguna».
“Alternate bearing” is a phenomenon where there is a large harvest in some years and then there is a smaller harvest in other years, alternatively. As the Spanish saying goes: “Fortuna y aceituna, a veces mucha y a veces ninguna”, meaning that fortune and olives go hand in hand, sometimes there’s an abundance of both, and sometimes there’s nothing.
La « vecería » est un phénomène qui implique que la récolte est abondante certaines années et d’autres moins, en alternance. Comme dit le proverbe espagnol : « Fortuna y aceituna, a veces mucha y a veces ninguna”. (la chance c’est comme l’huile : tantôt on en a trop, et tantôt pas du tout).
